Run 2022

Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI Meerut along with Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) organized an interschool Volleyball Sports Meet “Run 2022” at its campus.

VIMS students performed well in both the men & women’s category & won the gold medal along with the winner’s trophy.

Dr Sudhir Giri chairman Venkateshwara Group, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, VC Prof P K Bharti & Dr B V Vora inaugurated Run 2022 at the Dhyan Chand Sports Complex by lighting a lamp. Dr B S Tyagi & Dr Monika Deshwal assisted them in the inauguration ceremony.

In the men’s category, Desi Nightriders of VIMS defeated Ace Blockers of Venkateshwara by 25/09 & 25/18 in straight sets & grabbed the winner’s trophy.

While in the women’s event Laxmi Bai Mardani team defeated Nivedita by 25/21 in straight sets to grab the winner’s trophy.

The management rewarded the winners by giving them trophy & medals.

At the recently concluded interuniversity national games Venkateshwara students performed well & grabbed over a dozen medals because we have an impeccable sports infrastructure.  

Dr. Sudhir Giri reiterated that, along with quality education, sports & culture, the Venkateshwara students are performing well in all spheres of life because we make them future ready.

Dr Rajiv Tyagi asserted that regional & national sports & cultural events are an ideal medium to showcase the hidden talents of the youth because they get a platform to showcase it.

Run 2022 attracted a huge gathering

Those congratulating the VIMS team included the VC Prof. P K Bharti, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dean Medical Dr Sanjiv Bhatt, MS Dr N K Kalia, Dr B V Vora, Director Legal D. P. Singh & the consultant Dr R N. Singh.

Also present were Dr Manik Tyagi, Dr Ikram, Dr Awadhesh, Dr Shahid, Dr Shivam Agarwal, Dr Monika & Dr B S Tyagi.

Noticeable with their presence were the Meerut Campus director Dr Pratap Singh, Dr Rakesh Yadav, Alka Singh, Abhinav Rana, Arun Goswami, & the Media in charge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
