Shri Venkateshwara University and VGI Meerut celebrated World Pharmacists Day by hosting a seminar on Pharmacists Meeting Global Health Needs.
In addition, they organized an organ donation awareness rally and a blood donation camp.
We organized an organ donation awareness rally to inform the masses about organ donation.
Besides this, we held a blood donation camp at VGI Campus. Students and faculty members willingly donated blood, resulting in a collection of 124 units.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr Krishan Kant Dave & the District Hospital Chief Pharmacist Dr Pradeep Kumar inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
Dr Nitin Singh, the Pharmacy Deans Dr Om Prakash Gosai & Dr Ashwini Saxena joined them to unveil the Pharmacists Meeting Global Health Needs seminar, organ donation rally & a blood donation camp.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated, Pharmacists play a crucial role in fulfilling the changing global health & medical requirements of the world.
He said organ or body donation is the biggest donation because you not only give a new lease of life to the needy but by doing so one becomes immortal in life.
He praised all those who have donated their organ/body & appealed that all should come forward for organ/body donation.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi emphasized that rather than turning a dead body to ashes, we should do the noble cause of donating our organs to bring smiles on the faces of the needy & sick.
The VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave asserted the Pharmacists play a vital role in fulfilling global health needs.
The CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave, Dean Dr Om Prakash Gosai & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh also addressed the seminar on the occasion of World Pharmacists Day.
Those present included the Academic Director Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr SN Sahu, Dr LS Rawat, Dr Divya Girdhar, Dr Ashwini Kumar Saxena, Dr Om Prakash, Dr Ramesh, Ashwini Gupta & Dr Shilpi Sharma.
Dr Mohit Shrivastava, Dr Dheeraj Dubey, Pankaj Gill, Ravi Saini, Vicky Kumar, Shrestha Singh, Renu Saini Manu Bharti, Pranshul, Farhan Usmani, Shivangi Raj, Tejaswi Chaudhary, Manju Rani were all present.
Also present were Ankush Gautam, Nitin Kumar, Dr Nidhi Singh, Ritu, Shivakant, Gaurav, Ravi, Arun Goswami, SS Baghel along with the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
