Shri Venkateshwara University/VGI & Venkateshwara Medical College organized a seminar on the occasion of World Liver Day.
Over 24 renowned Doctors from various parts of the country elaborated various liver diseases, symptoms, diagnosis & their treatment to the auspicious gathering.
They impressed upon the Medical students to educate the masses about liver health & the ways to keep it healthy.
Inaugurating the seminar at the Dr C V Raman Central auditorium Dr Sudhir Giri Chairman Venkateshwara Group, & the Pro-chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi lighted a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
They were assisted by the VC Prof P K Bharti, MS Dr N K Kalia, Eminent Doctor Sanjiv Bhatt, Dr Seema Gupta, Dr Vinay Kumar & Dr Sashikaran.
Addressing the gathering, Dr Sudhir Giri informed that renowned Doctors of liver, chest, kidney & Gastro intestine are now available at Venkateshwara Multispecialty Hospital (VIMS).
Such patients need not go to Delhi, Chandigarh & other places for their treatment because we are offering a world class facility at VIMS.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi asserted that effective treatment of serious ailments of the liver, heart, and kidney & Chest is now available at VIMS.
Dr Sanjiv Bhatt Dean (A) VIMS said that the liver is the second most important organ of the body after heart.
The Liver fosters digestion by neutralizing the harmful effects of medicines. We should take care of our liver because its vital for health.
Dr Seema Gupta stated that sedentary lifestyle, junk food, alcohol & smoking are the primary reasons causing liver damage.
Dr Shaili Saxena, Dr Vinay Kumar, Dr Anubhav Bhatnagar, Dr Shashi Kiran, Dr Arpita & Dr Sachi Ahlawat also addressed the gathering because they are expert Physicians.
Those present on world liver day included the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Meerut Campus Director Dr Prabhat Srivastava, & the Director of Admissions Alka Singh.
Not to forget the presence of Director Admin Dr Rakesh Yadav & Dr Deepak Agarwal because they support all new initiatives of the University.
