Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute inaugurated the Venkateshwara Youth Festival 2023, marking the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda.
SwamiJi was an inspiration for the youth, a legend who glorified the Indian culture all over the world.
The 3 day Venkateshwara youth festival will have sports & cultural events, blood donation camps, traffic awareness, women empowerment along with over a dozen programs.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, & the VC Dr Rakesh Yadav inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati & by offering flowers on the portrait of SwamiJi.
In his address, Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated Swami Ji glorified the Indian culture on the world forum that established India as a world leader. He inspired the youth to follow his ideals & work for the nation.
On the first day of the festival, we organized Unity run, Traffic awareness rally, blood donation camp & tug-of-war events because we strive for the overall development of the students..
Further, a human chain depicting the map of India reaffirmed our commitment to national unity & integrity. We also collected over 200 units of blood, showcasing our commitment to save lives.
Finally, Dr Rajeev Tyagi stressed that SwamiJi presented India as a world leader in the western world that increased the honor of the country. No doubt Swami Vivekananda is a youth icon.
We should follow his path of peace, harmony & world unity for becoming a global leader.
Those present included the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh, Alka Singh, Dean Dr Sanjeev Bhatt, Dr Sachi Ahlawat & Technical Supervisor Fahreen Jahan.
Also present were Pankaj Verma, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr C P Kushwaha, Dr Ana Brown, Dr Vivek Sachan, Dr Anil Jaiswal, Dr S N Sahu, Dr Rajvardhan, Maroof Chaudhary & Arun Goswami.
