Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute laid the foundation stone of the Venkateshwara Setu (Foot over bridge) connecting the main entrance of the campus to the other side of the NH9.
With the grace of Lord Venkateshwara and the approval of the Road Transport and Highways Minister Mr. Nitin Gadkari Ji, the Venkateshwara Setu will be functional from March 2024.
The Group Chairman, Dr. Sudhir Giri, the Pro Chancellor, Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, the GM NH -9, Mr. Lalit Tiwari, the CEO, Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, and the NHAI Contractor, Mr. DS Vashist, performed Pooja and cracked a coconut to lay the foundation stone at 1.30 PM.
The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated the Venkateshwara Setu will not only provide a safe passage to cross the highway but will also curb many road accidents.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced the Venkateshwara Setu will be operational in the first week of March 2024 & help the public & University employees cross the highway safely.
Mr. Lalit Tiwari, General Manager NH-9 informed, we will construct the foot over bridge with an investment of Rs 2 Cr that will provide a safe passage to cross the highway.
He further added the Venkateshwara Setu will be safest & the best of all the foot over bridges erected till date.
Those present in the foundation stone laying ceremony included the Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora, Consultant Mr. RS Sharma, Dr Tejpal Singh, Dr Rajesh Singh, & Dr Divya Girdhar.
Further, Dr Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr Anil Jaiswal, Dr SN Sahu, Mr. Arun Goswami, Dr Dinesh Singh, Mr. Sunil Kr Bhagwania, Maroof Chaudhary, SS Baghel were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director, Dr. Pratap Singh, made his presence felt, alongside the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, and other attendees.
