The Venkateshwara Group of Institutions organized a Unity Football Tournament at its campus.
Total 5 teams took part comprising Education, B Pharma, D Pharma, Polytechnic & engineering.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav & the Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh inaugurated the event by cutting the ribbon & by getting introduced with the players.
In his address, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri reiterated sports not only make the person strong, self-confident & skilled but also foster their physical, mental & moral development.
Further, the Pro-chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, stressed that in order to achieve their passion, the players have dedicated themselves to sports.
Moreover, through focus, hard work, & determination the players have established themselves as respected individuals of the society. All faculties should spare some time for games.
Further, the Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, stated that those who have a passion for games exhibit team spirit & support others become outstanding players.
The Polytechnic team won the first encounter by 2-1. While, B Pharma won the second match by defeating their education counterparts.
B Pharma & Polytechnic played the final match, which Polytechnic won by a 4-1 margin and became the unity football tournament winners.
The Campus authorities felicitated the winners by giving those medals & trophies because we foster the overall development of the students.
The Coordinator Mr. Abhinav Rana, Rajesh Giri, Gaurav Kumar, Dharmendra Tewatia, Gaurav, Ankit Choker, Arun Sharma & the Media In charge Mr. Vishwas Rana worked hard to organize the event.
