Shri Venkateshwara University celebrated World Health Day by hosting over a dozen health awareness programs.
Shri Venkateshwara University, VIMS along with VGI Meerut celebrated World Health Day (April 7th) by hosting a seminar on Healthy Beginnings Hopeful Futures.
The students of the Venkateshwara School of Nursing, VIMS & VGI Meerut, took part in many competitions.
These included poster making, health awareness rally, quiz, signature campaign, and street plays.
The aim was to raise awareness about female infanticide and promoting a drug-free India.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, & the Academic Dean Dr Sanjeev Bhatt inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
Dr BN Singh, Dr Ana Erik Brown among others joined them to unveil the seminar, debate & poster making competition held on the occasion of World Health Day.
Later, the Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, along with the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, felicitated winners of different competitions by giving them memento and certificates.
Dr. Sudhir Giri, the Founder President of the Venkateshwara Group, emphasized the importance of contributing to the Prime Minister’s vision of a Healthy India. Under the charismatic leadership of our PM, world class medical & health services are within the reach of the common man.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi affirmed sound health is not the sole responsibility of the Government alone.
But every citizen should contribute their part to realize the dream of a healthy India as envisioned by our honourable PM.
Through the Govt.’s Ayushman Bharat scheme, even poor people can get medical services free of the cost. Before the launch of this scheme, such medical operations would cost them lakhs of rupees in medical bills.
The VC Dr Krishna Kant Dave announced Venkateshwara medical students are visiting villages & informing people to adopt a healthy lifestyle.
Dr Sanjeev Bhatt Academic Dean Venkateshwara Institute of Medical Sciences (VIMS) affirmed along with cities the Venkateshwara Group is setting up Rural Health Centers to offer free medical services to the underprivileged people.
Dr BN Singh, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey & Dr Rajesh Singh also addressed the seminar on Healthy Beginnings Hopeful Futures on the occasion of World Health Day.
Those present included Dr Ramesh Singh, Dr Ana Erik Brown, Dr Manjari Rana, Dr. S Walter, Dr Manish Kumar Sharma, Dr Pragya Kushwaha, Dr Arjun Poswal, Dr Diksha Agarwal, Dr Juhi Kaithwas, & Dr Anup Tiwari.
Moreover, Dr Sohail Ahmed, Dr Manik Tyagi, Dr Prachi Tyagi, Dr Akash, Dr Praveen Kumar, Sanjeev Kumar, Anusha Karnwal, Smita Chandra, Huma Kausar, Pooja Ari, Neema Bisht, Sumandeep Kaur were all present.
Also present were Harpreet Kaur, Himani Garjaula, Himani Chauhan, Pooja Kumari, Akhil Kumar, Avinash Kumar, Tehseer Alam, Jubair Alam, Shuaib Raza, Mata Prasad, Kaushal Kumar, and Gurwachan.
Moreover, Abhishek Rana, Manoj, Sachin, Vikas Pandey, Dr BS Tyagi, Dr Seema Gupta, Dr Shalini Gupta, Dr Rahul Sharma were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
