Poetry Seminar Kavyanjali & Literary Award Ceremony
Shri Venkateshwara University, along with VGI Meerut, hosted a Poetry Seminar ‘Kavyanjali’ & Literary Award Ceremony in memory of renowned poet Kunwar Bechain.
Poets Prageet Kunwar and Bhawna Kunwar arrived all the way from Australia to grace the event.
Renowned poets & litterateurs arriving from different parts of the country paid tributes to poet Kunwar Bechain by presenting excellent poetry in his honour. They called upon people to use Hindi for daily communication, business, and work.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, VC Dr Krishan Kant Dave & International Poet Dr Madhu Chaturvedi inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
The Chief Guest poet Prageet Kunwar & his wife Dr Bhawna Kunwar, who is the son & daughter-in-law of Kunwar Bechain, joined them to unveil Kavyanjali’ & Literary Award Ceremony.
Later the Venkateshwara Group Founder President Dr Sudhir Giri & the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi felicitated international poets Dr Madhu Chaturvedi, Prageet Kunwar, Bhawna Kunwar & over 2 dozen poets & litterateurs by giving them shawl, Patka and a memento.
Dr Madhu Chaturvedi is the Chairperson of Venkateshwara Cultural Institute.
The Venkateshwara Group Founder President, Dr Sudhir Giri, reiterated it’s a matter of pride to honour those who bring laurels to our culture, despite living abroad.
The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi affirmed Hindi literature and poetry are the crown of Mother India. Let’s all make Hindi widely popular in the world.
Poet Prageet Kunwar opened Kavyanjali by reciting poetry “जितना होगा दूर किनारा अच्छा है, उतना होगा साथ तुम्हारा अच्छा है” While Dr Bhavna Kunwar sang the poetry – कुछ असर ऐसा हुआ उनसे हुई बातों के बाद, बन गये अपने वो हमदम दो मुलाकातों के बाद”

Program chairperson Dr Madhu Chaturvedi recited “हमने संभाला इश्क को ईमान की तरह, फिर उम्र भर झेला उसे नुकसान की तरह, चाहत है मज़बूरी नही मेरी तू ये ध्यान रख, मत यू ही मेरे साथ चल अहसान की तरह”
Whereas renowned Poet Dr Rahul Awasthi sang- “जितनों से मेल बनती है, झोली उतनी ही भरती है, भाषा व्यवहारों की खराद पर चढ़कर और निखरती है,”
Further, Nazim Amrohi from Amroha recited- “बात करने से है ना मुस्कुराने से है, लोग दुश्मन तेरे आने-जाने से है, गोद ले ले उन्हें साहिबे हैसियत, वो जो मजबूर पढ़ने-पढ़ाने से है,” that brought tears to the audience’s eyes.
While Manoj Kamdev from Ghaziabad presented- “देखी है मैंने कुर्सिया कद से ऊँची आज, जिस पर बौने बैठकर, चला रहे है राज़.
Moreover, Ms Shobha Sachan from Delhi said- द्रौपदी हूँ इस धरा की, कृष्ण पाना चाहती हूँ, रक्त से दुर्योधनों के मैं नहाना चाहती हूँ”
Finally, Dr Arvind Pathik said- “शहरों में छत ललचाती है, गांवों में इठलाती है, जीवन भर फांकें खाकर भी छत ही नही मिल पाती है”
Those present included the Advisor Mr. RS Sharma, Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh, DP Singh, Dr LS Rawat, Dr Rajesh Singh, Dr SN Sahu, Dr Rajwardhan, Dr Ramesh Chaudhary & Dr Rahul.
Dr Om Prakash, Dr Ashwini Saxena, Dr Ram Kumar, Dr Mohit Sharma, Dr Yogeshwar Sharma, Dr Anil Jaiswal, Dr Snehlata Goswami, Maroof Chaudhary, Arun Goswami, Dr Shree Ram Gupta were all present.
Ms. Smita Chandra, Dr Vikas Kr. Pandey, Dr Arti Gupta, Dr Anjali Bhardwaj, Dr Poorva Bala, Ms. Tanushree Vyas, Ms. Anjali Thakur, Ms. Pooja Gaur, & Ms. Deeksha were all present.
The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was present along with the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others. Ms. Smita from the Nursing dept. conducted the event very well.
