Shri Venkateshwara University/Institute felicitated many promising players and organized a seminar on the occasion of the National Sports day marking the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand.

SVU recognized several athletes for their achievements in various sports, including Ishita Dhariwal for Archery, Azha Khan for Tug of War, Narendra Rana for Baseball, and Deepak Dhariwal for shooting.

The ceremony also included a dozen national and international players, who were honoured with a patka, turban, and a memento.

These players performed exceptionally well at the recently concluded World Police Athletics championships in Canada and brought laurels for the country. Ms. Ishita Dhariwal won 3 gold medals in archery and made the nation proud.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Advisor Prof. VPS Arora, & the VC Dr Rakesh Yadav inaugurated the felicitation ceremony cum sports seminar by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

International Archer Ishita Dhariwal, & the BJYM President Mr. Shubham Chaudhary joined them in inaugurating the event on the occasion of the National Sports Day.

The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri along with the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi honoured the players & affirmed the daughters are making the nation proud from the ground till space.

They are winning more medals than boys in various championships. This is an accurate picture of a changing, powerful nation.           

The honourable PM’s Khelo India scheme and providing govt. jobs for national & International players is motivating youngsters to perform well in sports.

The Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi announced that from October onwards the Venkateshwara Group will organise Inter University Games under the Khelo India scheme of the GOI.

Ishita Dhariwal won 3 golds at the World Athletics Championship in Canada.

Many attended the National Sports Day event

She says that girls are winning more medals than boys at different sports championships because of the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao Beti Khilao scheme.  

Those present included the CEO Mr. Ajay Shrivastava, Dr RS Sharma, Senior Journalist Sanjana Chairsia, Dr Piyush Pandey, Dr Rajesh Singh & Dr Ana Brown.

Also present were Dr Rajkumar, Dr SN Sahu, Dr LS Rawat, Dr Vivek Sachan, Arun Goswami, SS Bagel, Ramyash Singh, Gurdayal Singh, Vishal Sharma & Abhishek Jain.

Mr. Maroof Chaudhary, Vikrant Chaudhary, Dr Rajvardhan, Vikas Shrivastava & the Media Incharge Mr. Vishwas Rana also graced the function.
