International Kickboxing Championship

The Indian team performed exceptionally well at the Jordan Open International Kickboxing Championship, winning 11 Golds, 6 silver, and 1 bronze medal in Amman from June 1-10.

Further, the 14 member Indian team outplayed their opponents from Palestine, Jordan, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Indonesia & Oman and grabbed the top spot in the international championship.

Moreover, Mr. Santosh Agarwal, President Indian Kickboxing Federation & Dr Rajiv Tyagi VP IKF & Pro Chancellor Shri Venkateshwara University, warmly welcomed the players on their arrival at the airport.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, informed that under the Khelo India initiative we will start kickboxing coaching facilities at both Gajraula & Meerut campuses from September onwards.

Besides, Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan IAS & Additional Chief Secretary & President Haryana Kickboxing Federation was in charge of the Indian Contingent at the International Kickboxing Championship in Jordan.

Mr. Santosh Agarwal, the Chief Coach, and Dr. Rajiv Tyagi, the Pro chancellor & VP of the Indian Kickboxing Federation, announced that 7 players from Haryana won medals in the event. They are:

Sanchi Keena  – 2 Gold medals

Om Tewatia  –  1 Gold & 1 Bronze.

Ananya Keena–1 gold & 1 silver.

Niral Kukreja–1 gold and 2 silvers.

Monal Kukreja  – 1 gold medal

Adhyan Agarwal–2 silvers.

Kulwinder Singh–1 bronze.

UP players won Gold at the International Kickboxing championship

Priti Tiwari  & Aditya Mokarwal from Uttar Pradesh won 1 & 2 gold medals respectively to bring laurels for the state. Besides Devansh Sehrawat from Delhi won 2 gold medals.

Moreover, IAS Mr. Anand Mohan Sharan & Mr. Jitendra Yadav secretary Ministry of Sports and Youth Affairs GOI, Senior Advocate General Govt. of Haryana Mr. Lokesh Singhal, political consultant to the CM of Haryana Mr. Ajay Gaur & the Project Officer of SAI Mr. Ankush Katoch congratulated the players on their achievement.

Further, those congratulating from the Kickboxing federation included Mr. Satish Parashar, Mr. Sharad Bhasin, Shripal Sharma, Deepak Tantia, Vikas Agarwal, Ashok Chaudhary & Mr. Naresh Chawla.

Those congratulating from the Venkateshwara Group included Dr VPS Arora, chief advisor to the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, CEO Ajay Shrivastava, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, & the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey.

Noticeable with his presence was the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh and also admiring were the Media In charge Mr. Vishwas Rana among others.
