The Venkateshwara Group of Institutions organized an Interdepartmental yoga competition wherein 50 students took part.
The students from education, D Pharma, B pharma, Polytechnic & Engineering departments took part in the Interdepartmental yoga competition.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, VC Dr Rakesh Yadav, & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh inaugurated the event by cutting ribbon & garlanding the portrait of Goddess Saraswati.
In his address, the Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri highlighted Yoga makes a person strong, self-confident & competent. It plays a significant role in their mental, physical & character development.
The Pro chancellor, Dr Rajiv Tyagi, reiterated Yoga makes the mood & soul beautiful.
Whereas the Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, stressed Yoga provides the energy to encounter various difficulties in life with ease. We all should spare time for doing Yoga.
In the female category, Rajni Kumari bagged the first prize, whereas Chanchal secured the second spot, while Rajni Yadav got the third prize.
Meanwhile Ashok Singh Rajpurohit secured a first prize in the men’s category, while Anurag grabbed the second prize followed by Mukesh Yadav & Amit who settled for the third prize.
We honoured the winners with a Medal & Trophy for their exemplary performance.
Those present included the Director of Education Dr B C Dubey, Principals Dr Sanjay Tiwari & Dr Nitin Raj Verma, Brajpal Singh, Deepak Kumar, Alka Singh, Gaurav, Dr Pankaj Kumar & Pooja Sharma.
Also present were Sharmila Solanki, Priti Tyagi, Vidisha Chaudhary, Pranav Sharma, Arun Sharma & official & staff of the different departments of the institution.
The Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, thanked them for their active participation in making the program a success.
Finally, the Campus Director complimented the Program Coordinator Mr. Abhinav Rana for organizing the event & concluded the event.
