Shri Venkateshwara University/Venkateshwara Group of Institutions organized a seminar on Right to education, equality & freedom marking the International Human Rights day.
The event saw educationists stressing for economic & social parity for the entire world & work towards creating education, health, & ideological freedom for all.
They also advocated the creation of Unified India by practising the right to equality.
We carried out an awareness rally to inform people about their human rights & administered oath to the students & staff for protecting human rights.
The Group Chairman Dr Sudhir Giri, Pro-chancellor Dr Rajeev Tyagi, Chief Speaker Anubhuti Chauhan, In charge VC Dr Rakesh Yadav & the Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.
In his address, Dr Sudhir Giri informed that the main reason for celebrating Human Rights day is to make people aware of their 3 human rights as stipulated by the UN.
He stressed that because of the right to education, poor meritorious students can avail free education at the reputed private schools in the country.
Dr Rajiv Tyagi stated that by discharging its constitutional values & by protecting human rights, India is the most powerful democracy in the world.
The registrar Dr Piyush Pandey, Meerut Campus Director Dr Pratap Singh, Dr Sanjay Tiwari & Dr Vipul Singhal also addressed the seminar.
Those present included the Pharmacy Director Dr Sunder Singh, Dr Yogesh, Dr Ritu Varma, Dr Swati Kamboj, Dr B C Dubey, Braj Pal Singh, Deepak Kumar, and Arun Goswami & Pooja Singh.
