Admission in M.Ed (Master of Education) program will be done based on the marks gained by the candidate at the CCS University combined M.Ed entrance exam.
Apart from the CCS University M.Ed Entrance exam, no other criteria will be considered for M.Ed entrance.
For admission to M.Ed., the Entrance exam will be of a single question paper of 3 hours duration, containing:
·250 objective type questions
Mental ability-100 questions,
Subject competence (B.Ed.)-100 questions,
Language ability (Hindi or English)-50 questions.
For admission in M.Ed., CCS University will prepare the merit based on entrance score only.
CCS University will grant admission to the M.Ed course through a combined entrance examination and it will not organize any other separate test for affiliated colleges (Government aided and self-financed).
At the time of counselling, a candidate who appeared in the combined entrance examination can opt for a university campus or government-aided college, or self financed college as per his/her merit index.
1. The University will prepare the merit list based on marks secured in the Entrance exam only.
If a candidate does not secure the minimum qualifying marks in the qualifying examination, the University will not include such a candidate in the merit list.
For M.Ed., the minimum qualifying marks required are 45% in the entrance exam.
2. The University will make available the entrance exam result on the University Website www.ccsuniversity.ac.in and will also publish it in major local dailies.
The respective departments will intimate candidates selected for admission. Qualifying the Entrance exam without fulfilling the eligibility conditions is insufficient for a candidate’s claim for admission.
General Rules and Conditions
1. For M.Ed. candidates have to fill up & submit their application forms online at (www.ccsuniversity.ac.in).
University requires candidates to submit the printed and signed copy of the downloaded Application form, along with photocopies of mark sheets and certificates at the time of counselling for admission.
The candidates appearing in the qualifying course examination have to upload their final marks on the University admission portal fifteen days before the date of first counselling.
The filled entrance test form and all necessary certificates should be submitted online to the admission official. In certain cases, a video or personal meeting may be required. The candidates should submit details according to the schedule provided by the University.
As per the CCS University website, the proposed M.Ed Entrance exam date was the last week of June 2024.
The contact information for submission is the Office of the Dean, Students’ Welfare, C.C.S. University, Meerut-250004.
The result of the qualifying course examination should reach the said office before the declaration of the result of the entrance examination.
3. CCS University will announce the counselling dates of M.Ed. course after the declaration of entrance test results.
4. If the applicant’s name appears in the online Merit List(s), he/she will be required to submit the hard copy of the filled-up application form along with the self–attested copies of all the required mark-sheets, degrees, certificates, other documents, and the fee submission proof at the concerned Department of the University Campus/College at the time of admission.
A merit list will stay active for the time specified on the website only. After authorities publish the next merit list, the claims of the applicants on the previous merit list will stand void.
5. The University will straightaway reject incomplete Application Forms.
The student has to carefully fill the application form, online only. Instructions for filling the form shall be available on the university website.
University discourages students from visiting the campus personally for admission-related queries for the session 2024-25.
Students must provide their mobile number and email ID. The University will not be responsible if one loses the chance of admission on account of wrong information in the application form.
6. The candidates appearing in the final year/last semester of the qualifying examination may be allowed to appear only provisionally in the Entrance Test.
The last date for filling up CCS University M.Ed entrance exam application form was from April 20,2024 – May 10, 2024.
However, their position on the Merit List will be subject to fulfilling the eligibility requirements.
Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other applicable categories shall be as per the applicable rules of the State Government. Reservation clause(s) shall be applicable as per government order.
7. A candidate having passed his/her qualifying examination as a private candidate shall furnish a certificate (not older than six months) of moral conduct from the Principal of the College or Gazetted Officer or an M.L.A./M.P.
With the candidates of the departments of Chaudhary Charan Singh University Campus, the Admission Committee shall see that there is nothing against the candidate, which may debar him/her from seeking admission in the class he/she has been selected for admission.
8. At the time of admission, the University shall verify the self-attested copies of the certificates, mark sheets, and other documents enclosed along with the application from the original documents .
9. Only the Principal of a college or university department head, or a Gazetted Officer, can attest the photograph.
10. Candidates will receive one mark for each correct answer. There is no negative marking for wrong answers. However, if a candidate selects more than one choice for a question on the OMR sheet, the University will not consider that answer.
11. In case, two or more candidates gain equal marks in the entrance test of a course, the University will decide merit based on higher marks attained in the qualifying (eligibility) examination and if they are also equal, then we will decide merit based on seniority in age.
12. In all the cases, the decision of the Admission Committee will be final.
13. Further, the University will not admit a person to a course with a criminal record involving moral turpitude. If already admitted, the University will cancel their admission upon discovery of these facts.
14. If a candidate has used unfair means in any examination or an educational institution has expelled any such candidate, the University will not admit any such candidates.
15. The University may cancel a candidate’s admission if it finds out that they were not entitled to admission as per the rules and regulations. We may cancel admission at any stage if deemed necessary for the University’s interests.
16. The University can cancel, at any stage, the admission of a candidate if it finds that the candidate has used for admission the degrees/diplomas/certificates gained from unrecognized and unapproved institutions/fake universities/institutions/ boards.
The applicants are, therefore, advised to refer to the websites of UGC (www.ugc.ac.in), the AICTE (www.aicte.ernet.in) and DEC (www.dec.ac.in) to verify.
17. We will not allow admission to candidates found using unfair means in the Entrance exam and will also debar them from any future entrance exam.
18. Moreover, admission of students joining the various courses will be provisional and will be confirmed by the University Admission Committee only on the verification of the certificates in original based on which they are admitted.
22. Moreover, if a candidate remains absent continuously for ten days after admission, his/her admission shall stand cancelled.
23 For admission, the claim of the applicants included in a particular Merit List shall cease after the scheduled reporting time.
24 Further, the University does not allow candidates to switch admission to other courses (self-financed or regular) without completion/cancellation of the first one.
Minimum 50% marks or an equivalent grade in B.Ed./ B.A.-B.Ed./ B.Sc.–B.Ed./ B.El.Ed./ D.El.Ed. with an undergraduate degree (50% marks each).
Note: Reservation and relaxation for SC/ST/OBC/PWD and other applicable categories shall be as per the rules of the Central/State Govt.
Moreover, for all purposes, the decision of the Admission Committee with the approval of the Vice-Chancellor, who is the Chairperson, shall be final and binding on each applicant.
The tentative M.Ed Entrance exam date could be last week of June 2025 because in 2024 as per CCS University they conducted it in the last week of June 2024.
