3. Candidates who have cleared the interview are required to undergo a medical in a military hospital. Standards for the medical examination are the same as that for all military officers.

After BSC Nursing, they can attempt the UPPSC staff nurse exam for the selection of Nursing Officers in various Government hospitals in UP.
The UPPSC Staff nurse exam comprises Prelims and Mains exam as part of the selection process.
The Prelims comprise 3 major subjects–GK, Hindi and Main subject nursing.
The mains exam comprises 2 parts which are descriptive. The duration of the exam shall be 3 hours.
Part A: 5 descriptive questions asked for 5 marks each (word limit 125)
Part B: They ask 6 questions, out of which candidates must attempt 4. Each question shall carry 15 marks (word limit 300)
