Importance of a strong agricultural economy

Shri Venkateshwara University and VGI Meerut hosted a seminar about the importance of a strong agricultural economy in India’s growth.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, CG Dr Yashveer Singh, Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, & the Chief Advisor Dr VPS Arora inaugurated the seminar by lighting a lamp to Goddess Saraswati.

The VC Dr Rakesh Yadav & the Registrar Dr Piyush Pandey joined them in inaugurating the 1 day seminar on the importance of a strong agricultural economy in India’s growth.

Later, the Pro Chancellor Dr Rajiv Tyagi, Chief Advisor Prof VPS Arora, and the VC Dr Rakesh Yadav honored Dr Yashveer Singh. They presented him with a turban and a memento.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri reminded during the Corona pandemic because of India’s strong agricultural and food economy we not only distributed food grains to our people but also supplied them to other nations of the world. This gesture proved India’s leadership abilities.

Dr. Yashveer Singh, the Chief Guest, emphasized that India’s robust agricultural economy enabled us to provide food grains, essential items, and medicines to both developed nations and our arch rivals, Pakistan and Bangladesh. This demonstrated our position as a global leader.

India’s robust agricultural economy allowed it to stand tall as a world leader and leading food producer while the rest of the world, including the USA and Britain, were facing a recession.

During the corona-induced lockdown, when the Govt. closed the industries, the farmer’s adoption of advanced farming techniques helped stabilize the country’s GDP.

He said because of advanced agriculture techniques & having the most fertile land India was the Golden Bird in earlier times.

Seminar on the importance of a strong agricultural economy was well received

Dr. Yashveer Singh is a well-known educationist and former professor at JNU. He has served as the Principal Advisor to several Prime Ministers, including Charan Singh, PV Narasimha Rao, Chandrasekhar, and VP Singh.

He was the former Chairman of KVIC & was Cabinet Minister in the previous Government.

The Group advisor RS Sharma, Prof. Tejpal Singh, Prof CP Singh, Dr SN Sahu, Dr Divya Girdhar, Dr Ana Brown, Dr Rahul Singh, Dr OmPrakash, and Dr Yogeshwar Sharma were all present.

Arun Goswami, CFO Vikas Bhatia, Dr Anil Jaiswal were all present.

The Meerut Campus Director, Dr Pratap Singh, was also present and also present was the Media Incharge, Mr. Vishwas Rana, among others.
