B.El.ED

The Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed) is a 4 year course after 12th that allows students to pursue elementary teaching qualification .

The National Education Policy (NEP) reports that many elementary school students have not yet achieved basic literacy and numeracy skills.

It suggests that all children should be able to read and understand simple texts and perform basic addition and subtraction by the time they reach grade three.

e. Diploma in physical education programme leading to Diploma in Physical Education (D.P.Ed.).

f. Bachelor of physical education programme leading to Bachelor of Physical Education (B.P.Ed.) Degree.

g. Master of physical education programme leading to Master of Physical Education (M.P.Ed.) Degree.

h. Diploma in elementary education programme through Open and Distance Learning System leading to Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.).

i. Bachelor of education programme through Open and Distance Learning System leading to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) Degree.

j. Diploma in arts education (Visual Arts) programme leading to Diploma in Arts Education (Visual Arts).

k. Diploma in arts education (Performing Arts) programme leading to Diploma in Arts Education (Performing Arts).

l. 4-year Integrated programme leading to B.A.B.Ed./B.Sc.B.Ed. degree.

m. Bachelor of education programme 3-year (Part Time) leading to Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) degree.

n. 3-year Integrated programme leading to B.Ed., M.Ed (Integrated) degree.

Teacher training courses online

With rapid Internet penetration through smartphones, students are exploring courses on YouTube & Google to add value to their teaching profiles.

Alison, Udemy, Coursera, and similar platforms offer many courses, but most educational institutions still prefer offline courses. This is because they value candidates with traditional qualifications.  

Online courses can add value for experienced educators who have some teaching experience.

They cannot replace regular degrees because of practical experience & classroom activities involved in regular courses.

Career Prospects
