Share

The two most popular pharmacy courses after 12th are the Diploma in Pharmacy (D Pharma) & the Bachelor of Pharmacy, also called B Pharma.

All science students both from PCM & PCB branches are eligible for pharmacy courses after 12th because they study Physics & chemistry in their course.

The D Pharma is a 2 year course while B Pharma is a 4 years graduate qualification in Pharmacy, which prepares for specialist roles in the Pharmaceutical industry.

Both the courses are crucial for ensuring health because the pharmacists dispense life-saving drugs & worked even during the lockdown.

Healthcare is a recession proof industry because, with overexploitation of nature, man is confronting new viruses that require potent drugs to cure them.

The Corona pandemic reinforced the need for constant R & D to develop better drugs because mankind will encounter more viruses in the future. This calls for nurturing a competent force of pharmaceutical professionals who can innovate life-saving drugs .

Pharmacists develop vaccines that safeguard us against deadly viruses like the Corona. Cowaxin India’s first covid vaccine proved to be a game changer and saved millions from Corona.

This was possible through the joint efforts of NIV & ICMR in collaboration with Bharat Biotech that India could vaccinate its vast population.

Further, India is the largest vaccine & generic drugs supplier, as we have the technical knowhow & the maximum USFDA approved plants outside the US.

The many Pharmacy colleges in India have ensured that a competent force of Pharmacists is available who work to innovate India’s Corona vaccine.
