The B Pharma eligibility clearly illustrates that candidate shall have passed 10+2 examination conducted by the respective state/central government authorities recognized as equivalent to 10+2 examination by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU) with English as one subject and Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics (P.C.M) and or Biology.
(P.C.B / P.C.M.B.) As optional subjects individually.
Any other qualification approved by the Pharmacy Council of India as equivalent to any of the above examinations.
B. Pharm lateral entry (to third semester): A pass in D. Pharm course from an institution approved by the Pharmacy Council of India under section 12 of the Pharmacy Act.
The Bachelor of Pharmacy (B Pharma) is a 4 year course spanning 8 semesters. The B Pharma eligibility provides opportunity for both PCM & PCB candidates to enter the challenging world of pharmaceuticals.
Many students have the misconception that only PCB students are eligible for B Pharma. This is not true because all science students are eligible to pursue Pharmacy courses provided they have studied Chemistry in 10+2.
Applicants must be at least 17 years old by December 31st in the year of admission, and there is no maximum age limit. Hence, those wanting to be pharmacists should register for the B Pharma course at the earliest.

In India, the average B Pharma fees at public colleges is 2.14L while at private colleges it’s 3.70 L.
The average B Pharma fees at public colleges in UP, is 2.59 L while in private institutions it’s 3.69 L. In Delhi NCR, the B Pharma fees at public institutions is 1.57 L while in private colleges it’s 4.20 L.
Those planning to study B Pharma in Haryana will need to dole out 1.42 L for public colleges, while private colleges charge 4.31 L as the average fees.
In Uttarakhand, Public Colleges charge 2.24 L fees compared to private ones that charge 4.03 L as their fees. Similarly, public colleges in Chandigarh charge 74.32 K fees compared to private ones that charge 5 L as their fees.
Likewise, those planning to study B Pharma in public colleges in Punjab will need to spend 2.36 L fees compared to 4.09 L in private ones. Further, Rajasthan public colleges charge 2.66 L fees compared to private ones that charge 3.56 L as their B Pharma fees.
In HP, public colleges charge 1.89 L fees compared to private ones that charge 3.60 L as the average B Pharma fees.
Likewise, in MP Public colleges, average B Pharma fees is 1.64 L compared to 2.62 L in private ones. While in Maharashtra, public colleges charge 1.10 L compared to private ones that charge 4.01 L as their fees.
The western state of Gujarat is no different, with public colleges charging 2.51 L while private ones charge 3.54 L as the B Pharma fees. Similarly, those planning to study at public colleges in Bihar will shell out 4 L while in private institutions the fees is 4.79 L.
Those planning to study B Pharma in the southern state of TN will have to spend 2.46 L for public colleges while 4.89 L is the fees at private B Pharma colleges. Like wise in Telangana, public colleges charge 2.27 L while the private ones charge 2.39 L as the B Pharma fees. While in AP the B Pharma fees at public colleges is 2.22 L while in private ones its 4.27 L.
Similarly, in Karnataka, the B Pharma fees at public colleges is 1.30L compared to 4.61 L at private ones.
Likewise, in Karnataka, the Public colleges charge 1.30 L as the B Pharma fees compared to private ones that charge 4.61 L.
The Eastern state of WB has earmarked 9.60 K(thousand) as the B Pharma fees at public colleges, compared to 4.49 L at private ones. Orissa charges 3.04 L fees at public colleges, compared to 3.33 L at private ones.
Similarly, Chhattisgarh public colleges charge 2.09 L compared to private ones that charge 2.88 L as the B Pharma fees.
Finally, Kerala is no different, with public colleges charging 1.47 L fees compared to private ones that charge 4.83 L as the B Pharma fees.
