Veteran’s Cricket League

The Amroha Veterans outplayed Mathura Veterans by 52 runs in the semi-finals of the 25th Uttar Pradesh Cricket League 2023. This is the first time since 25 years that Amroha Veterans reached the semi-finals of the prestigious veteran’s cricket league.

The Group Chairman, Dr Sudhir Giri, congratulated both the winners and losers of the league. He also reiterated that games are the future of the country.

DM & Senior IAS Mr. Rajesh Kumar Tyagi, Teacher MLC Dr. Hari Singh Dhillon, Wife of Late Cricketer Chetan Chauhan MLA Mrs. Sangeeta Chauhan, SP Kunwar Anupam Singh, and Pro Chancellor Dr. Rajiv Tyagi inaugurated the league. They cut the ribbon and had an introduction with the players.

Mr. Ajay Tandon Industrial Development Advisor, UP Govt, Mrs. Shashi Jain Chairperson MC Amroha along with top ranking bureaucrats and public representatives joined them to inaugurate the 20-20 veteran’s cricket league.

After the historic win of Amroha Veterans, the dignitaries congratulated & wished them success in the finals.

Shri Venkateshwara University will strive to organize more such events for the engagement & fitness of the veterans. This is part of Shri Venkateshwara University’s CSR initiative for the overall mobility of the community members.
